Aer Lingus Cargo announces on 22nd April 2013, that effective 06th May 2013 a decrease of € 0.05 will apply to the current fuel surcharge, bringing the FSC to € 0.95 per actual kilo.

Extreme weather conditions at Irish airports on Wednesday night caused major disruption to Aer Lingus operations. High winds at Dublin and Cork airports necessitated diversions of a large number of aircraft, from their originally intended Irish destinations, to UK airports. A number of flights were also cancelled. As a result, many of the scheduled UK and European operations on Thursday morning 18th April are cancelled or significantly delayed.

Recovery after US snow storms

Following the snow storms across the north eastern U.S., there was a number of transatlantic flight cancellations due to airport closures at both Boston and JFK.

In addition local trucking operators suspended their operations; these are expected to resume as local conditions improve.

Aer Lingus Cargo announces today, 12th March 2012, that effective 26th March 2012 a fuel surcharge increase to € 1.00 per actual kilo will apply.

The Aer Lingus Cargo Fuel Surcharge Index is based on monitoring the daily market closing price of Jet Kerosene price fluctuations on a weekly basis. The index has been above 170 for more than fourteen days and triggers an increase of the surcharge.

Increase in Dry Ice limits on EI A330-300
