Aer Lingus is fully committed to the introduction of Electronic Air Waybills. Developed collaboratively with industry stakeholders, the e-Air Waybill (e-AWB) removes the requirement for a paper Air Waybill (AWB). With the e-AWB, there is no longer a need to print, handle or archive paper AWBs. e-AWB brings accuracy, confidentiality and efficiency. It helps reducing operational costs and speeding-up the delivery of air freight shipments - for example, there will no longer be delays due to the paper AWB being misplaced or lost. For more information on e-AWB please see the IATA website at the following http://www.iata.org/whatwedo/cargo/e/eawb/Pages/index.aspx.
